A pottery print is the perfect way to mark a moment in time forever for both yourself or as a gift. This is probably not something that you will do very often so I do my best to make sure that it is an enjoyable experience to reflect back on with happy memories. I aim to get the best print I can and always check that you are fully happy.
I work by appointment and welcome groups so if you want to come with friends we can make a morning or afternoon of it complete with tea and cake. Alternatively I can come to your group in the Winchester area.
I also hold “pop-up pottery sessions” for painted prints in the Winchester area and hold regular events at the Leaf & Bean Cafe: 3A Stockbridge Road, Winchester, SO22 6RN
With the painted prints, I paint your child’s hand or foot with non-toxic glaze and press it onto an item of your choice such as a mug, plate or tile. I later paint on your required text and a border if you would like one. The next stage is to dip the item into a glaze and fire it in my kiln. Items are normally ready for collection within a fortnight.
The process for the clay imprints is a little longer as once the prints have been made in the clay they need to dry slowly for around 2 weeks before being “bisque fired”. I will then paint the print, add your required text and apply a glaze before firing for a second time.
“Thank you so much for our wonderful bauble and imprints. You made the whole experience memorable and made us feel so welcome. We will be back for more!”
” Thanks so much for our wonderful hand & footprints!! Was a pleasure to meet you and the prints are perfect despite having to work with a very wiggly baby! They will be treasured and were the perfect gifts for our families x”
