Pottery Prints

A pottery print is the perfect way to mark a moment in time forever for yourself or as a gift. This is probably not something that you will do very often so I do my best to make sure that it is an enjoyable experience to reflect back on with happy memories. I aim to get the best print I can and always check that you are fully happy.

There are lots of examples of my work on the gallery pages of my website.

With the painted prints, I paint your child’s hand or foot with non-toxic glaze and press it onto an item of your choice such as a mug, plate or tile. I later paint on your required text and add any artwork. The next stage is to dip the item into a glaze and fire it in my kiln. Items are normally ready for collection within a fortnight.

The process for the clay imprints is a little longer. I will make a an impression of your baby’s hand and/or foot in a piece of rolled out clay and dry the prints slowly before “bisque” firing them in my kiln. I then paint the print, add your required text and apply a glaze before firing for a second time. The process takes approximately 4 weeks.

I work by appointment from my home in Colden Common and work weekdays between 9am and 5pm. I welcome small groups too, so if you want to come with friends we can make a morning or afternoon of it complete with tea and cake.

Please contact me for a price list and appointment details.
